Who we are
The controller of your personal data is [business legal name and address]. Contact: our email address.
What we collect and why
- Buying the Dataset: payment is handled by Stripe. We receive your name, email address, country, the amount and the date, but never your full card details. We also record when your single download was made, and your email address is written into your copy of the Dataset as its licence marking. We use this information to supply the Dataset, prevent unauthorised sharing, keep tax and accounting records, deal with refunds or disputes, and answer your questions. Legal bases: performing our contract with you, and our legal obligations.
- Emails you send us: we use them to reply. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding.
- Hosting logs: our host, Netlify, processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and secure the Site. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website.
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not sell your data.
Who we share it with
Stripe (payments), Netlify (hosting) and our email provider, acting for us or as independent controllers under their own terms; our professional advisers; and authorities where the law requires. Some of these providers process data outside the UK, protected by recognised safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Purchase records for 6 years after the end of the tax year they relate to, as UK tax law requires. Emails for up to 2 years after our last contact.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict its use, or receive a copy. Email us to do so. If you are unhappy, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority.
